Def Leppard – Pour Some Sugar on Me

Pour Some Sugar on Me from Def Leppards’s 1987 album Hysteria was a massive hit of its time. It reached #2 on the US Billboard Hot 100 on 23 July 1988. It reached #1 on the Top Pop Albums chart (now the Billboard 200) a year after release, and sold four million copies during the single’s run!

Moreover, reached #18 in the UK Singles Chart and #26 on the ARIA charts (Australia)

MTV ranked “Pour Some Sugar on Me” #1 in its “Top 300 Videos of All Time” countdown in May 1991. In 2006, VH1 ranked the song #2 on its list of the “100 Greatest Songs of the ’80s.” AVN ranked the song as the “#1 song used by strippers during their set” of all time.

The Down ‘N’ Outz is the project founded and fronted by Def Leppard’s Joe Elliott and backed by members of The Quireboys, Wayward Sons and Vixen. The band pays tribute to rock legends Mott The Hoople and was established from the most unusual of circumstances … in the words of Joe Elliott: “When Mott The Hoople announced they were reforming for a week’s worth of shows at the Hammersmith Odeon I was asked that I participate in some capacity. They’ve always been my favourite band and it’s nice to see the rest of the rock world finally catch up and give them their due.”

“But, what was I to do? It was suggested to me that the Quireboys would be up for offering their services. This was perfect! A fan since their first album, I loved the idea of working with a band as enthusiastic to do this as I was. I decided that the thing to do was play some songs that like-minded people thought they would never hear live again, if ever, songs by spin offs of Mott the Hoople – songs by Mott, Ian Hunter and British Lions. Songs that are close to my heart, songs that I’ve played every week for the best part of 35 years on record, cassette, CD, iPod and now live.

Def Leppard 2017 North American tour with Poison and Tesla

Def Leppard have announced a new big time tour throughout North America starting April 2017 along with Tesla and Poison

The tour also marks the first time in over 5 years that Poison will tour with all original members. Members including Bret Michaels, CC DeVille, Bobby Dahl and Rikki Rockett. Poison has sold over 40 million records and is is set to perform some of its greatest hits including Nothin’ but a Good Time, Every Rose has its Thorn, Talk Dirty to Me, Unskinny Bop and Something to Believe In.
