In May 1995, Dutch Hair Metal band Sleeze Beez embarked on a tour of Japan, culminating in a notable performance at CLUB CITTA’ in Kawasaki on May 13, as part of their “Insanity Beach Tour.” This concert was recorded and subsequently released as the live album Live in Tokyo on July 26, 1995, by Zero Corporation (catalog number XRCN-1247)
The Live in Tokyo album captures the energy of their live performance, featuring tracks such as “Save Myself,” “Tell It to the Judge,” “Gun Culture,” and “Screwed, Blued & Tattooed.” The lineup for this performance included Andrew Elt on vocals and acoustic guitar, Don Van Spall and Chriz Van Jaarsveld on guitars, Ed Jongsma on bass, and Jan Koster on drums
This Japanese tour highlighted the band’s popularity in the region, even as the hair metal genre’s prominence waned in other markets. The success of the tour and the live album underscored Sleeze Beez’s international appeal and their ability to connect with audiences beyond their native Netherlands.
