Joe Elliott’s Down ‘N’ Outz Release “Rock And Roll Queen” Video
May 29, 2014
Down ‘N’ Outz, the project fronted byDef Leppard singer Joe Elliott, have premiered their new video “Rock And Roll Queen”. The song is the first single off of the new album ‘The Further Adventures Of…’, a collection of songs connected to Mott The Hopple.
Shot at “The Corporation” in Sheffield on May 12th, 2014, the video was directed by Lee Ford. “Shooting a video in a dark, dirty and seedy nightclub in Sheffield brought back some great memories of being at such a club watching bands as a teenager,” says Elliott. “The perfect setting for the Down ‘N’ Outz to blast through some fantastic retro rock!”
The Down ‘N’ Outz project was born in 2009 when Mott The Hoople re-formed and asked long-time friend and fan Joe Elliott to get involved. Elliott formed Down ‘N’ Outz with The Quireboys’ Paul Guerin (guitar), Guy Griffin (guitar) and Keith Weir (keyboards), together with Phil Martin (drums). Together they looked to bring songs by Mott The Hoople and spin off projects of Mott, Ian Hunter and British Lions to a wider audience. ‘The Further Adventures Of…’ was recorded at Joe Elliott’s own studio Joe’s Garage.
