One of the lesser known but definately among the most underrated Hair Metal bands to come out of Florida.
Formed in 1985 in Tampa it only took them a few months to develop a dedicated regional following! Intice played some great shows all over the southeastern United States opening for bands such as Steppenwolf, Foghat, Johnny Van Zant, Head East, Savatage and more.
Their debut album “Taste The Night” was recorded in 1989 at the famous Morrisound Studios with producer Jim Morris (Warrant, Savatage, Crimson Glory, Saigon Kick and many many more) and released the same year via Nite Train Records. More shows played after the release with the likes of Babylon A.D. and Tora Tora. Unfortunately the band split up in 1990.
In 2016 two Intice songs made it to the soundtrack of the action/thriller movie Vicious Thunder. The same year Demon Doll Records released a 19 song CD with the title “The Legacy” which features all the tracks ever recorded by them.
After a long hiatus, Babylon A.D. regrouped with all original members in 2014. They also played several shows in the U.S and Nottingham England’s “FireFest Rock Festival”. The band released a new live record LIVE@XXV to celebrate their 25 years of recording and performing together.
‘Saturday Night’ can be found on their new album ‘Revelation Highway‘ released by Frontiers Records on November 10th 2017
Written by band members Mark Slaughter and Dana Strum, it was the third title on the band’s debut album, Stick It to Ya, and the band’s first single. It is their second most popular song, according to Last.fm. It was released in 1990.
Up All Night reached No. 21 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart and No. 27 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Originally released on the album “Crush” (Island, 2000) but a new second version appeared on their live album, One Wild Night Live 1985–2001, and a compilation album, Tokyo Road: Best of Bon Jovi and this version was released as a single and featured a music video.
Towards the end of the song there is mention of famous singer James Brown. The bit entitles that “If James were here, it would be a hit”. Richie Sambora on Bon Jovi TV mimicked this transcript which allows many to believe it is him doing the voice, this has never been confirmed.
From the studio album “He Saw It Comin’” and released via Frontiers Music on January 27, 2017.
Jack Russell stated the following about ‘Blame It On The Night’:
“Most of the material I have written in my life has been autobiographical, this song is one of the exceptions. The song was written for and about my wife’s childhood. Because of the subject and the feelings I have for my wife this was a very difficult song to sing. But I believe that the topic is an important one to bring into the light and out of the shadows”
Opening track from the album “Live Your Life Forever” released by Hurricane Records in 1990. This album has delightful hints of AOR and a crisp of melodic rock, all in a wonderfully played and executed package.
Zar’s vocalist on this album is John Lawton known in the 1970s as the singer of Lucifer’s Friend. Through the years Lawton was involved in several projects including Les Humphries Singers in the early 1970s and Gunhill in the mid 1990s. He also recorded three albums with Uriah Heep: Firefly (1977), Innocent Victim (1977) and Fallen Angel (1978)
From a very rare 3-track demo titled “Handle with Care” that was released by the band in 1988. Glass was a fantastic band that should have made it big!
