Adrenaline Rush – Love Like Poison

Swedish female fronted Hard Rockers Adrenaline Rush have released a video for their new song “Love Like Poison” from their new album Soul Survivor, released via Frontiers Music Srl on April 21, 2017.

Adrenaline Rush consist of Tave Wanning on lead vocals, Sam Soderlindh on lead guitar and vocals, Alexander Hagman on guitar and vocals, Joel Fox on bass and vocals, and Marcus Johansson on drums.

It all started in 2012

Tave and Erik Martensson (of Eclipse and W.E.T.) joined forces and began recording what was to become the first Adrenaline Rush album, featuring live oriented tracks with strong melodies, powerful guitars and interesting arrangements.

The guys were hand-picked from bands around Stockholm, all having different backgrounds but each an important piece of the puzzle.

The single and following album was well received, some even called it the melodic-rock album of the year.

Following their live debut at the first Frontiers Rock Festival the band played a number of gigs. Things were looking up.

2016 saw changes in the band line-up and the process of recording a new album begun

Ludvig, and later on Soufian, left the band to focus on other endeavors. And a search for replacements began. At the same time Tave started working on a new album with planned release in the spring of 2017.

Early 2017 replacements for Ludvig and Soufian were found, and we are happy to announce that Joel Fox and Sam Soderlindh have decided to join the ranks.

A track “Love Like Poison” from the coming album “Soul Survivor” was released on Feb 27. The album will be released on April 21st 2017

Alias - Waiting For Love

Alias - Waiting For Love

Canadian Hair Metal supergroup, formed in 1988 in Toronto by vocalist Freddy Curci and guitarist Steve DeMarchi of the Canadian arena rock band Sheriff, along with Heart founding members Roger Fisher, Steve Fossen, and Mike DeRosier.

Alias released its self-titled debut album in 1990 which went gold in the US and platinum in Canada, scoring hits with the power ballad “More Than Words Can Say” (#1 Canada, #2 U.S.) and “Haunted Heart” (#18 on Mainstream Rock Charts).

The single for “Waiting For Love” released in 1990 by EMI in the US, UK and Europe and by Capitol in Canada peaked at #4 (Canada), #13 (US Hot 100 Billboard) and #87 in the UK

Lyrics
I look ok but I’m not myself, standing by the phone
Darling I’ve been wondering how I’m gonna let you go

You made me build you a perfect world, to keep you satisfied
But now you’re just a broken dream, and when I get back my pride

You’ll still be waiting for love
You’ll still be waiting for the sun to rise,
In the middle of the night
You’ll still be waiting for love
I know you’ll be waiting when that train passes by
You’ll still be waiting for love

Like a dream there’s a lucky feeling, coming from my soul
Girl I guess I learned the truth
That you already know (Oh oh oh)

Took me a while to realize, it’s a dark and lonely town
And you’ll know where you’ll find yourself,
when the wall comes
Tumbling down

You’ll still be waiting for love
You’ll still be waiting for the sun to shine,
In the middle of the night
You’ll still be waiting for love
I know you’ll be waiting when that train passes by
You’ll still be waiting for love

I lost my heart, I lost my mind
But it really doesn’t matter
I’m gonna leave my tears behind
And you’ll still be waiting

Ten - After The Love Has Gone

Ten – After The Love Has Gone

Ten - After The Love Has Gone

Following the release of his first two successful solo albums, British vocalist-songwriter Gary Hughes was making the preparations to begin recording what was to be his third solo album.

However he teamed up with guitarist Vinny Burns (Dare, Ultravox) who was quite familiar to Hughes, since they both knew each other from quite a few years back. Given the fact that Mike Stone was assigned to mix the album, the Hughes/Burns project quickly evolved into a band situation, thus marking the first official incarnation of Ten. During the first year of the band’s existence, another ex-Dare member joined the band when Greg Morgan was brought in to fill in for the drummer position.

The band’s first album (named X) was released in May 1996 and was warmly acclaimed by the fans and the press especially in the UK and Japan, where they were outselling huge rock bands, reaching sales of 100,000 records only during the first week of release. In order to support the album for the forthcoming tour, the band recruited bassist Martin “Shelley” Shelton (ex-Dare), keyboard player Ged Rylands (ex-KAGE) and guitarist John Halliwell (ex-KAGE).

Signal - Does It Feel Like Love

Signal – Does It Feel Like Love

Signal - Does It Feel Like Love

After leaving King Kobra, and prior to forming Unruly Child, vocalist Mark Free was involved in the California band Signal, whose sound was the perfect blend of classic AOR artists like Journey and Survivor and newer Hair acts Bad English and Damn Yankees.

Signal’s 1989 debut Loud & Clear is an album that, given the musical climate in the late 80’s, really should have sold about a billion copies. Think of the really huge acts at that time – Bon Jovi, Bad English, Damn Yankees, and Bad Company – and the albums they were releasing. Loud & Clear is as good if not better than all of them, but sadly failed to gain the attention it deserved. This is just a classy arena rock album with melodies to die for, just enough keyboards, an amazing vocal performance, and the kind of memorable songs that would have fit on just about any 80’s movie soundtrack. “Does It Feel Like Love” should have been played every hour of every day on Top 40 radio in 1989, and “Could This Be Love” and “Run Into the Night” would have made great singles as well.

If you’re a fan of 80’s Hair Metal/AOR/melodic rock, “Loud & Clear” is a must-have album. Fans of Free’s work in King Kobra and Unruly Child will probably get the most out of this album, but it really should appeal to any child of the 80’s.

French reissue label Axe Killer reissued “Loud & Clear” in 2000. The reissue featured digitally remastered sound and expanded liner notes. “Loud & Clear” was reissued yet again in 2009, this time by Krescendo.

Kradle - Hunger For Love

Kradle – Hunger For Love (Demo, 1986)

Kradle - Hunger For Love

Kradle formed in 1982 and became known in ’83 after opening for Blue Oyster Cult at the Pacific Colesium in Vancouver. They played various sold out shows before finally getting offered a deal from Enigma Records. Due to bad managment advice, the band turned it down convinced a better offer would come along. Kradle disbanded after lead singer Tod Anthony Larkin was tragically drowned in a boating related accident in 1989.

In 2002, three of Kradle’s biggest die-hard fans (singer Jason Rodgers, guitarist Guy Mander and drummer Kevin Lovering) approached original bass player Steve Courchaine about wanting to re-form the band. Original guitarist and drummer Harry Degen and Claude Erfone had no interest without Larkin, but gave them their blessing. They played some gigs and recorded “Unleashed”, a 9 song CD consisting of 6 old songs and 3 new ones written with the new line up in 2003.

After watching Kradle perform live, the response they received convinced Degen and Erfone they wanted back in the band and Courchaine reluctantly had to cut Lovering and Mander loose.
