Lipstick release free download as part of National Child Abuse Prevention Month

LipstickAs part of National Child Abuse Prevention Month, Lipstick is offering a free download of their new song “Fight Back” to help spread awareness about child abuse. The band issued the following statement:

Hello everyone.

Lipstick is, for the most part, a fun and light-hearted band. Life, however, is complex, and there are important issues to talk about. April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month, and Lipstick is wanting to spread awareness of this issue. It’s not just because I’m a former victim of physical, mental and sexual abuse at the hands of my stepfather. It’s because no child deserves to be abused, and from personal experience, I found that the best way to stop child abuse is to spread awareness.

So, for the month of April, we’re offering a free download of our song “Fight Back”, an anthem against abuse, and we humbly ask that you share the song and spread it around. Let your friends know that it’s National Child Abuse Prevention Month. Donate to a good charity like the Nashville Children’s Alliance and please, report any suspected child abuse. Spread the word, please.

Humbly Yours,

Greg Troyan (Lipstick Vocalist)

Lipstick to appear alongside members of Tesla, Cinderella and Stryper in new film

Casting continues for the new Rossetti Productions movie “God Gave Rock n’ Roll To You“, which already features members of Tesla, Cinderella, Stryper, Petra and Chaotic Resemblance, with the casting of Nashville based glam band Lipstick. The film takes place on the sunset strip in the 80’s and tells the story of a band called Tyger, whose members decide rename their band Iron Cross and become a Christian glam band.

The members of Lipstick – Greg Troyan, Steve Smith, Jack Stark and Casey Horn – will be portraying a rival band in the movie hoping to see Iron Cross fail. They will bring a comedic sense to the era of over-the-top, glam metal. “We want to bring in people that epitomize that era of music, and the guys from Lipstick are out there right now, rocking the glam, hair-band style music of the late 80’s,” says Writer/Director Chip Rossetti. “We want authenticity and era specific accuracy throughout the entire movie, from the music, as well as the look.

Lipstick is excited to be a part of this wonderful film” Lipstick founder Greg Troyan said. “The script is excellent, and to be working alongside members of Tesla, Cinderella, Stryper, Petra and Chaotic Resemblance was more than enough reason for us to say yes. The movie has a great message about not letting ego and pride control your life, and giving your life to something bigger than yourself. It’s a Christian film, but the lessons of this movie can be applied to any faith and walk of life. It’s truly something special.

Lipstick is a glam rock band based in Nashville, TN. The band was formed in 2012 by lead vocalist and principal songwriter Greg Troyan. After recording a series of demos in Cleveland, Ohio with Billy Morris (Warrant/Quiet Riot) Troyan relocated to Nashville and joined forces with bassist Stephen Smith to perfect the Lipstick sound. The band released their self-titled debut in 2014 and released a special deluxe edition of the album in 2015. The band is currently recording their second album which is scheduled for an early 2016 release.

Production of “God Gave Rock n’ Roll To You” is slated to begin in early November in and around the Nashville, Tennessee area. Rossetti Productions has produced 15 feature films, all in the Christian, Faith Based and Family genres.

Self-released CD-r with pro-printed cover and inlay

Since their inception, just a few years back, Nashville-based Glam Rock/Metal revivals Lipstick have established themselves as an-up-and-coming force in their field! If you are from around their area, make sure you don’t miss one of their high-energy shows.

Lipstick manage to offer a sweet blend of styles with their debut album, a collection of demos written by vocalist Greg Troyan with Billy Morris (of Warrant and Quiet Riot fame). Following the always handy DIY fashion, in 2014 the band put together those demos on a CD-r which was circulated on their gigs and via their website. Following a growing demand from their fan base the album is now re-released in a much more pro fashion with four extra tracks.

Musically, Lipstick begin their colorful and theatrical trip from the mid 1970s with the Glam sounds of KISS and Alice Cooper adding a bit of New York Dolls in the pot. They fly through the Sunset Strip of the 1980s to pick up elements from Poison, Kix, Motley Crue and Faster Pussycat and end up flirting a bit with the modern sounds of bands like Black Veil Brides. The whole mix is filtered through their own rock ‘n’ roll fun attitude resulting on a full up-tempo totally optimistic album!

What you get here is 16 tracks of energy as well as nostalgia (in a good way nevertheless). Make sure you check their official website http://www.lipstickgeneration.com and find the band on facebook at http://www.facebook.com/lipstickgeneration
