Official video of the 1992 album ‘Total Eclipse’ which featured Neal Schon of Journey on guitar.
Lyrics:
Mama said you was a bad girl since I set my eyes on you
And who would think that I would sink in something that you would do
Baby, baby you had a way to cover up your lies
Put me down for the crown, but I never saw it in your eyes
And now my love is cold, it’s my heart you sold
And every night you’re haunted ’til you gotta let go
Takin’ me down, girl you’re takin’ me, takin’ me
Takin’ me down, girl, way down
Takin’ me down, girl you’re takin’ me, takin’ me
Girl you’re takin’ me
Now you say there’s a better way that you just can’t live without
Take the money from my hands now, honey, take the food right from my mouth
You can say everything you want, or do all the things you do
But honey, I hope you rot in hell for all the things you put me thru
And now my love is cold, it’s my heart you sold
And every night you’re haunted ’til you gotta let go
Girl you’re takin’ me down, you make the walls come crumblin’ down
Girl, get me around, yeah you better get rid of, get rid of the dreamy ground
(Solo)
And now my love is cold, it’s my heart you sold
And every night you’re haunted ’til you gotta let go
Girl you’re takin’ me down, you make the walls come crumblin’ down
Girl, get me around, and now my love is cold, it’s my heart you sold
Girl you’re takin’ me down, you make the walls come crumblin’ down
Girl, get me around, our love is cold
Takin’ me down, girl you’re takin’ me, takin’ me
Takin’ me down, girl, way down
Takin’ me down, girl you’re takin’ me, takin’ me
Girl you’re takin’ me down
Video from the hit single released in 1992 by Canadian band Harem Scarem. The song appears on their 1991 self-titled debut album. It charted at #68 on the Canadian singles chart. In this video stars American actor Judge Reinhold as the male love interest.
This is a cover of a Top 40 hit by Danny Spanos from 1983, written by members of the band Streetheart. Hardline’s version of “Hot Cherie” rose to No. 25 on the Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks chart and remained on that chart for a total of fourteen weeks throughout the fall of 1992!
The album in general is a real hit! While grunge was taking over the world, “Double Eclipse” was lost in the shuffle. What a shame, as this probably would have been huge if released 5 years earlier (released in 1992)
Trade Mark were a Hair Metal band from Greece active in the early 1990s! This is a fantastic track from their 1992 album “Fatal Blues”. The whole album is a real gem!
